How we provide support

We can help you understand the legal process you are in and why certain things that happen are in our child's interests. How important it is to follow some processes and challenge others. Through private and public online support groups where we share information and empower our families.

Although not professional or qualified, we know people who are and can provide helpful advice about what should be happening.

Support from experience

We have private and public online support groups where we share relevant and useful information.

We offer telephone and online face-to-face support.

Although not professional or qualified, we know people who are and can provide helpful advice about what should be happening, and what can happen and explain the legal process in easy-to-understand terms.

We can help you understand the purpose of some things that may seem strange to you – case manager encouraging you to have carers? There is a good reason for that but you don’t always have to agree to something that isn’t right for your family.

We often advocate for our families with the professionals involved in their cases, we know what a Deputy should and shouldn’t be doing, likewise a case manager and how to get the best from both relationships.

We can explain in easy-to-understand language and put you in touch with other families.

"We help prevent insult after injury by supporting families through what is a brutal process."

A helping hand

We can help in lots of ways. Most importantly, we get your lives, they are our lives. Expert witness appointments, carers leaving, child in ICU again. We can prop you up when you need it and celebrate with you when you have a small win of a child being better.

You don’t have to explain to us how difficult and stressful your life is. How worried you are first and foremost about your child’s development, but your other children as well. How stressful an RTM is.

We know.

We got you.
