Who we are
Billy’s is a support and information group for those who are considering at the start of litigation, already in litigation or have already settled their negligence case for a birth injury to a child. We understand how long and scary the process is. Many of our members have already been through litigation against NHS Trusts and can share experiences.
We help prevent insult after injury to families in birth injury medical negligence litigation by empowering and supporting families to make informed choices and by working with all professionals involved to improve current processes.
We are families who have or are going through this process and can support others with our shared knowledge. We are not professionals, but we have been through it and are in touch with hundreds of other families going through the process who have already settled their legal case.
As admin of our online support groups, we see the worries and concerns families have. We are unique in being in contact with those families and understanding what they are going through. Knowledge is power and we share our own and others’ knowledge freely.

What we do
We speak to professionals involved at all levels on behalf of families and work with them to improve the process. Litigation is a hidden world; indeed, families are routinely warned not to talk about their case or post anything on social media about it.
Whilst sensible legal advice, it does however mean that those families are isolated, with no support and at the mercy of fee earners whose primary interest is in the child at the centre of the case, and the value of settlement.
We help by supporting, informing and empowering families to take back control of their homes and families whilst working better with professionals in the interests of balance.
